Our 2025 regular operating season is coming to an end. We want to thank everyone who came out this year to visit the museum!

Railyard Local Train Rides end on November 9th, and General Admission ends on November 23rd.

General Admission and Walk-In ticket sales are NOT available for our Santa Trains event (November 29th- December 22nd).

Hours

The Museum’s regular hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Most visitors to the museum start by taking a walk through our main building, Danbury Union Station. Inside you’ll find artifacts, photo displays, model railroads, and a play area for our younger visitors. Our 10-acre railyard is home to over 70 pieces of railroad rolling stock; a select few pieces are rotated in and out and open to visitors for touring. We are open year-round with weekend train rides April through October and Santa Trains in December.

Admission

NOTICE: Starting in April 2026, general admission pricing will increase from $7 to $10 per person age 3 & up. Railyard Local train ride coach & caboose tickets will also be going up from $3 to $5.

This signifies the first raise in general admission rates at our museum since January of 2018. Cab Ride Ticket pricing, & annual membership dues will NOT change. This is not a decision we make lightly, as increased operating costs have forced our hand.

We thank everyone for their continued support.

  • Members & visitors under age 3 - FREE

There is an extra fee for Train Rides (when available).
